Carmel by the Sea visitors come here from all over the world to enjoy the simple pleasures of life by the Monterey Bay.  We hope that you, too, will have the opportunity to sample the charms of our lovely village when you come to visit us at Carmel Doll Shop.

Other than Carmel Doll Shop, there are many attractions to draw your interest.  May we suggest a visit to Robert Cordy Antiques for fine English pieces, or the spectacular selection of antique jewelry at Fourtané Estate Jewelers? Tiffany and Co. is just up Ocean Avenue and the choices for fine art galleries, premium clothing and specialty shops will delight even the most jaded shopper.

We can heartily recommend breakfast or lunch at The Little Swiss Cafe (where even the locals go), or perhaps tea and scones at the venerable Tuck Box, but make sure to leave room for a fabulous lunch or dinner at the always atmospheric Casanova, as their French and Italian country dishes are superb.

Of course, who could resist Sunday brunch or a sunset dinner at Clint Eastwood's idyllic Mission Ranch? Countless friends and clients of Carmel Doll Shop have enjoyed the experience – the spectacular view, refreshing cocktails, fine cuisine, and perchance an appearance by the man himself.

Accommodation for your Carmel visit is available in a number of styles and classes. We can recommend La Playa, The Pine Inn, Doris Day's lovely and pet-friendly Cypress Inn – or there are many other comfy hideaways.

Once suitably settled, it's time for a walk to explore the architectural delights that abound in Carmel by the Sea. From stunning modern houses to thatch roof cottages and stone manor houses, Carmel has it all.

Be sure to plan an excursion to Carmel Mission – San Carlos Borroméo de Carmelo, dedicated in 1797, is one of the first missions established in Alta California.
The wonder of Point Lobos, used by Robert Louis Stevenson as the inspiration for his work Treasure Island, must not be missed and we cannot forget Pebble Beach, world famous for golf, and for so many other reasons.

Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to visit Carmel Beach – a wide glittering expanse of white sand meeting the blue of the Pacific Ocean, just at the foot of Ocean Avenue. A very dog-friendly place where Fido can run wild for a while, bring the pups and enjoy a good walk – you just never know who you might meet!

If you feel any of us at Carmel Doll Shop might be able to do something to help make your travel planning a bit easier, just ask – it would certainly be our pleasure to assist a fellow doll collector.

We look forward to welcoming you!
