Far more impressive in life than it appears here, is a sublime, two-piece, commercially-constructed fashion Ensemble. The intricately draped and pleated skirt is in hunter green wool, while the top is of rich blue cut velvet with hunter green accents which create the collar and cuffs. Fancy feather stitching in tan threads decorates the cuffs, collar "pockets" and front opening while lace softens the sleeve openings and graces the neck. In good condition overall, showing normal wear, and foxing to the skirt.

The softest cast of pink is present on this lovely antique Dress in the folds and under the lace tails in back, telling us that it has faded overall to a rosy cream tone over the years. Whatever the case, your early fashions such as those from Maison Rohmer, will not mind a bit we are sure. This dress, of raw silk with black lace and silk ribbon decoration, with its elegant, simple, lines, might be the perfect candidate for those pairs of billowy false sleeves present in trousseaux belonging to Rohmer examples we have known in the past.
The overall condition of this creation is quite good, and it is suitable for wear by an early (enfantine) fashion who stands approximately 13-14" in height.
P.S. An early wax doll might appreciate this dress as well.

Measures: 7" neck opening
3 1/2” Shoulder width
2 1/2” Sleeve opening at shoulder
1" Sleeve inseam length
9” From shoulder seam to hem
8" Waist
