“Boutique original” in every way, is this sweet thirteen and one-half inch fashion doll from the François Gaultier firm.  Featuring a perfect bisque head and shoulder plate on a classic kid body, we especially love her big, blue, two-toned glass eyes. Further details include lovely painting, pierced ears retaining the original opaline earrings, a fabulous original wig styled in long curls and – personality plus!
The regional costume of wool is brilliant for its dramatic use of color, while the black lace, plus the addition of a white lace shawl add a delicate dimension.  Do not miss her original straw bonnet, trimmed in coordinating red wool.  A lovely survivor.

Eugene Barrois

Gorgeous early fashion doll Bride – a lovely product of Eugene Barrois – who stands just under fifteen inches tall.  Features include a perfect bisque head and shoulder plate, marvelous coloring, inset cobalt blue glass eyes, pierced-through ears, and her original (albeit sparse) mohair wig.
On a kid leather body in very nice condition, she is elegantly costumed for her special day in cream satin, decorated with glittering crystal beads and pearl drops. Of special note is the elegant drape of delicate lace. Note also, her long tulle veil, “pearl” jewelry and bouquet that coordinates with her floral hair ornament.
Every fashion collection needs a bridal scene, why not make this lovely doll the star of yours?

Appearing nearly as she did when she stood upon the store shelves in 1875, this classic Jumeau is one any serious fashion collector should be proud to call their own.  This sixteen-inch model bears a youthful look, with a perfect bisque head and shoulder plate, early spiral-threaded glass eyes in a pleasing shade, pierced ears, and a fabulous wig that features a delicate braid and the original “frizzles” at the forehead.
We have not undressed this example due to the fragile nature of her all-original costume, but it appears her kid body is in very good condition.
The original ensemble, in tan and chocolate brown silk, features amazing styling and details.  Yes, there are scattered repairs and weak areas upon the costume, but to our eyes, the benefits of having this lovely doll in her original dress, totally outweigh these issues.

Antique shoes and under things are the icing on this very pretty French cake!

Radiguet et Cordonnier

A Poupee Statuette from the husband and wife team of Radiguet and Cordonnier, circa 1880, this extremely artistic, and rare to find fashion doll example features a perfect swivel head with lovely painting, wonderful, extra-large blue paperweight eyes, and a marvelous, "rooted" mohair wig.
On a kid leather body, the real selling point of this eighteen inch doll, besides her molded bosom, is her lovely bisque limbs. This example features lower legs that are fitted with molded shoes that have been covered in silk, and bisque arms, including one that is realistically "bent" at the elbow (repaired).
Costumed in a spectacular ball gown, and accessorized with a dance card and bouquet – this amazing fashion will be the belle of any ball she chooses to attend!
