Bébé E. D.

A product of the Jumeau firm, this lovely twenty-one inch bebe is marked E.9.D for Emile Douillet, a founding partner in Jumeau et Cie. Created after 1890, classic features of this seldom found bebe include a perfect poured bisque head, deep blue paperweight eyes highlighted by luxurious lashes and brows, pierced ears, and the original mohair wig complete with crimped bangs, and retaining the original cork pate.
On a classic-Jumeau, fully-jointed composition body in excellent condition, there is possible scattered re-touching, but if so, the work is top-notch.
Dressed to the nines in cream silk with rich deep forest green accents of plush velvet and rope piping – fine lace and metallic trim enhance the exquisite creation, which includes a coordinating bonnet. Antique cream leather bebe shoes are an extra-nice treat...Mlle. Douillet will agree!

What a happy bebe! Measuring an amazingly petite eight inches tall, this wonderful French child is a product of Jules Steiner. Incised “A 1 Paris”, she is one of the smallest known sizes. In all-original presentation, she features blue paperweight eyes, an open mouth with teeth, a lovely long blond mohair wig, pierced ears and a fantastic, tiny jointed composition body. Her soft pink dress is a confection and includes a dramatic matching bonnet, silk shoes and lace-trimmed under clothing. A little dream...come true!

Bébé Bru Jeune 11

Elizabeth Taylor may be quite surprised to learn that, she alone, is not the only one to possess violet eyes, because this incredibly beautiful Bru Jeune 11 definitely has them!
Standing just shy of twenty-six inches tall, this bebe has the most gorgeous eyes, which are rivaled only by the superb quality of her perfect bisque head.
One of those dolls that is best appreciated in life, she also has amazing modeling including heavy brows that cast luxurious shadows, a dimpled chin, plus her heavy mauve eye-shadow adds infinite dimension to her dreamy face.
In addition, her body retains its original finish in very good condition, and even bears the Bru stamp.
Fittingly costumed in opulent pale lavender silk brocade, the ensemble is sheer perfection. The spectacular matching hat is trimmed in coordinating ostrich plumes, and do not miss the silk stockings and antique Alart shoes in her size!
This bebe should win an Oscar – if pure beauty were a category!

It's difficult to look at this SFBJ 236 Toddler and not soon find a smile creeping across your face. He certainly is a happy fellow and at twenty-one inches tall, he's a delightful, smaller addition to your character doll cabinet. He has very nice dewy bisque, blue sleep-eyes, an especially nice blond mohair wig that compliments his brow color and a jointed composition body with the original finish. He wears a commercially-constructed, vintage sailor costume that is in mint condition.
He longs for a sailor cap...maybe you have one in his size?

Bru Bébé Teteur 6

We are thrilled to offer this entirely factory-original Bru Bebe Teteur, or Nursing Bru, and at nineteen inches, she is the perfect size, too! Actually, this example is exceptional for two reasons – her inner workings are still in place, and her body is as close to mint condition as one will ever find.
If you aren't familiar with how a Bebe Teteur works – with the turn of a brass wing nut found on the back of the bebe's head, she was able to empty a special "bebe" bottle of its liquid, and then...well, return the liquid to the bottle!
Highlights include a gorgeous perfect bisque head and shoulderplate, deep brown paperweight eyes, her original and just plain darling curly mohair wig, plus the required open mouth with beautifully modeled full lips and pierced ears.
Her original Chevrot-patented body, in spectacular condition, is complete with a fully intact paper label and features the carved wood arms (which were offered for a very short period of time), with the original paint finish in wonderful condition – do not miss her bead bracelet that spells "bebe"!
Her original presentation includes a three-piece bebe ensemble of white cotton faille, which consists of a jacket, wrap-type bottom which button up to encase her lower body, and an eyelet bib. In addition, she wears a fabulous faille and eyelet bonnet with lace and ribbon loops, plus pantalets, and white cotton booties over knit stockings.
Truly, the ultimate in a Bebe Teteur!
