It is easy to see why this extraordinary German bisque character Gibson Girl is a first place, blue ribbon winner! Once a part of the legendary collection of Gladyse Hilsdorf, this unique example is marked “S&H DEP 13 1199”. At thirty-four inches tall, this statuesque beauty features lovely coloring, beautiful brown glass eyes, an open mouth with teeth, pierced ears and her spectacular, original, Gibson girl-style mohair wig. On a jointed composition body (marked La Patricienne) with extremely graceful hands and the rare feature of a generous bosom, she wears an exquisite promenade ensemble of sea-foam green wool, trimmed in fine ecru lace. Her stylish antique chapeau is trimmed in organdy flounces and silk florets, and she also wears antique lace-trimmed under clothing and chocolate brown high button leather boots.
