Simon & Halbig 1358

A magnificent thirteen and one-half inch 1358 from the Simon & Halbig firm, she really is something else, this little cutie with her perfect bisque head with an ebony finish, ethnic features and brown glass sleep-eyes. Her original human hair wig is a work of art and it even retains its original red silk hairbow.
The jointed composition body is in lovely condition (some flaking on one shoulder) and her party dress of golden satin and lace with its brilliant red sash makes her a standout from the crowd. She will be a standout in your doll cabinet, too – she is just that kind of girl.

22" Character Baby from the Kley & Hahn firm, impressed K & H Germany 568-12. Details of this fine fellow include a perfect bisque socket head, an open/closed mouth with a molded tongue and two upper molded teeth, blue glass eyes that are now set, nicely modeled pronounced ears and molded and brush-stroked hair.
His composition, bent-limb baby body does have the original paint finish, although there are scattered repairs, including fingers on both hands.
The very nice antique baby clothing he wears may help explain his gleeful expression – especially nice is the crocheted cap which keeps him snug!
Oh yes – almost forgot, a voicebox in his torso allows him to say his very first word – "wah"!

Looking like a million bucks in her cocoa silk ensemble, and marked Made in Germany 13, this Closed-mouth Kestner has the most amazing moist bisque! When you see her face to face, you will agree!
Further details of this child, who stands just under twenty-one inches, include a poured bisque head that is lovely, but not perfect due to a faint hairline on her upper forehead. In addition, there are very expressive brown glass sleep-eyes, beautiful lip, lash and brow painting, and a skin wig that features long blonde curls.
On a fully-jointed Kestner composition body showing normal wear to the original finish, there is a re-glue to a finger on her right hand.
Cocoa silk faille is the magic ingredient of her lovely dress, with cut velvet, lace and silk velvet adding sumptuous dimension. A chocolate brown straw hat adorned with matching faille and a plume could not be a more fitting choice to crown this desirable German classic.
