At first glance, your immediate reaction to this very pretty little girl might be "What is that Steiner doing on the German pages?" She does resemble her French contemporaries as she was intended for the French market, but this is, in actuality, a product of Ernst Grossman, who bears the distinction as being the first German maker to register the idea of ball-jointed bodies. This rare child, who stands thirteen-inches tall, has a perfect bisque dome head and skillful painting, boasts extra-lovely paperweight eyes, a closed mouth with painted lips featuring a white space between them, pierced-through ears, and a magnificent original full blonde mohair wig.
