Dorothy Grace,

The Fateful Traveler

"The moment I saw Dorothy Grace, I knew she must belong to me." J.D.N.

John came face to face with this classic, English Wax doll in 1953 and the rest, as they say...is history. In an article entitled
"Dorothy Grace, The Fateful Traveler", John chronicled all that happened in this little lady's remarkable life with him and why he clung to her through it all. It seems during a bit of restoration to various parts of her dear little body, Dorothy Grace "graced" two continents and various American cities! But, as you can see she's all together now, lovely as ever.
Dorothy Grace stands eighteen inches tall.

"Forget-Me-Not"
It is the charming little spray of forget-me-nots pinned on this doll's sweet red dress that made us remark about her. John's longtime friend, Bobby replied, "I believe she is a family doll...John's family." She is the vintage to be the doll of John's mother, to be sure. We do not know her origins, but we do know that she was cherished, because John simply did not keep things that were not dear to him. He did write once that "Sentiment" was his middle name.
This curly-top China appears to be all-original, in beautiful condition with lovely appointments.
She stands eighteen and one-half inches tall.
