Shell Belvedere with Wooden Fairy

T
his whimsical diorama was created by John Darcy Noble, who took his
inspiration from classic Victorian designs of similar shell grottoes found in his collection. The Shell Belvedere, complete with crennelated roofline and gothic-arched windows provides eternal shelter for the antique,
Grodnertal Wooden Fairy.
The illusion here is one of an underwater paradise...perhaps this was John's vision of a doll-sized Atlantis?
Box measures: 8" wide by 9-1/4" tall by 5-1/2" deep.
Antique Wooden measures: 3-1/2" tall.
