Would someone please help us out? This Chair is admittedly wonderful, but strange at the same time! Of mahogany, it features hand-carved details, the original corduroy seat and back – these are the normal parts! But, it also has a brass hook that protrudes from one side, and the reverse side of the back features a carved ornament that resembles a shoe lass! If you have a clue....please advise!

Measures: 8" tall

In our experience, it is rare to find boy's toys retaining their original presentations, which simply could be due to the rough and tumble nature of their ways! At any rate, here is a very special toy for the boy's room – or boy doll for that matter.
Featured in this assortment of miniature treasure from the French Militaire is a wonderful felt-covered carton cap complete with plumage, a sword with metal sheath, a belt from which hangs a holster, a container of sorts that can also be attached to the belt, a pair of golden epaulets, a map of the French countryside and a medal for pinning upon the brave lad's chest.
Condition is good, with a bit of loss to the carton holster and a re-glue to the container.
Your young fighting men will love this toy!
