A one-Donkey band he is, this mechanical fellow who crashes his cymbals and "beats his drum" – actually he misses, and the action is subtle, but wonderful. In all original condition, with a totally marvelous face, there is some flaking and splitting to his molded carton legs, but he is sturdy nevertheless – not to mention, very talented. |

Exquisite Candy Container Marquis in all original presentation. Details include a bisque head with blue glass paper weight eyes, which is impressed FG in a scroll, bisque arms, and his original wig which is styled in the eighteenth-century manner. His silk costume (surface soil and tender areas) is decorated with metallic trims and includes a marvelous saber worn at his waist. Measures 12 1/2" tall. |

We have seen these French Shoe Candy Containers before, but typically the silk bag is in sad shape. We were very happy to find this one in near-mint condition! Measures 3" tall x 3 1/2" long. |
