This china lid is in the form of the beloved Commedia dell'arte character, Pierrot. He is colorfully painted with nice facial features, a molded and painted blue cap and gilt-edged ruff. He remains in wonderful condition and would make a great addition to a circus or toy themed vignette. The interior rim of the piece has a molded notch at back right, possibly to accommodate a spoon.
