Here we have a sweet pull toy in the form of boy driving a cart pulled by a handsome sheep with a tufted felt fleece, wooden legs and a papier-mâché face with green glass eyes. The boy features a German bisque head with blue-grey eyes, an open mouth with tiny teeth and a head of curly blonde mohair topped with a cap of burnt orange satin finish cotton. On a body that consists of a wire armature with painted wooden lower arms and feet, he wears a two-toned carnival style costume of satin finish cotton with ecru lace details and bells mounted at the wrists. He is mounted on a red painted cart with a green interior. This toy remains in nice condition with some paint loss to the cart. The rear wheels of the sheep’s platform have a somewhat sticky rotation.
