Here we have an exquisite, and rare to find Biedermeier toilette for the dollhouse with ornate gilt details throughout, a glass toilette set and a sewing drawer. Further details include two doors that open to a single roomy compartment and a top drawer that opens to reveal a treasure trove of sewing tools and thread, the segmented drawer is lined in blue paper, trimmed in Dresden paper and at the center, features a molded velvet tray to keep sewing tools in place.
The surface features round, recessed spaces to hold a beautiful, five-piece set of painted glass toilette items (spout of pitcher chipped) while the cabinet interior is papered a vivid blue, features a mounted gilt framed mirror (cloudy), and oval shaped cut outs, behind which are flowing panels of ecru lace tied with blue silk ribbon. This lovely piece remains in nice condition.
