This delightful and petite dollhouse made by R. Bliss Manufacturing Co. circa early 1900s, is constructed of pine and covered with colorful lithographed paper in a classic palette of the rich hues of the time period including time softened red, aqua blue, yellow and brown. The exterior features a mix of faux exteriors including grey stone, fish scale siding and shiplap. The front windows are made of early cellulose and feature ecru lace curtains. Further details include a dormer window with lithographed details wooden portico with turned wood newel posts, an opening front door and a wooden front step.
The front of the house opens to reveal the interior rooms which retain their original papers including a baroque motif in gold and blue (downstairs), and a baroque motif in gold and red (upstairs), while the floors feature a coordinating paper.
Each floor Measures: 7 1/2” wide x4 1/8” deep with the lower floor ceiling measuring 4 3/4” high and the upstairs ceiling measuring 6 1/2” tall.
The overall dimensions, including wooden base are: 9” wide, 6 1/2” deep, 12 3/4” tall.
Dollhouse does present age-related wear throughout with overall losses and fading to lithographed exterior and wear to wooden base (particularly front left corner).
