Here we have a wonderful Silber and Fleming English Box Back Dollhouse Circa 1880s. This compact house features an opening front with a brick patterned exterior in a rich saffron hue on the top story and a vibrant red on the lower story. Two rows of bay windows are fitted with lace curtains and the upper windows feature a ledge with decorative metal grates.
The portico features a black-painted roof, slender painted-green columns and a wooden door. The rear of the dollhouse is finished in a richly hued red lacquer. The upper story rooms and the lower story left side room rooms feature grated metal fireplaces and retain their original papers on walls in a mix of florals and floors in a tiled floral pattern, while the downstairs floor features a botanical leaf pattern.
The right side lower floor room (intended to be the kitchen) features painted walls and a trailing pebble style paper pattern on the floor.
In overall wonderful condition with scattered separation and warping throughout wall and floor papers.
