Here we have a charming wax over papier mâché, features include a sweetly molded face with pupilless black eyes, nicely arched brows and full cheeks (face does present overall wear and cracking including a repair to chest.) Her face is framed with a center parted human hair wig in ringlet curls and swept into pigtails fastened with two delicate, gold tone pins. On a firmly stuffed cotton body with leather arms, she wears a classic cotton gown of diaphanous cream cotton with an allover embroidered floral motif plus a silk sash in an old-fashioned shade of daffodil yellow. Underneath, she wears two cotton petticoats and ankle length pantalettes with an unfinished, scalloped edge. This little girl has a delightful surprise – her eyes open and close with a wire lever accessible at her left hip!
