We are pleased to offer a representation of true American ingenuity - a "Springfield doll" from the Vermont maker, Mason & Taylor. Details include a swivel head (with a blonde-painted hairstyle) that retains excellent facial paint - this is quite unusual. The jointed body, elegant in its design, features joining at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees - and is fitted with painted metal feet and simple, carved wood forearms.
In our minds, this example represents a marvelous opportunity, largely due to the very intact facial painting - but we will let you be the judge. The doll is offered without clothing.
