This classic “Covered Wagon” china girl would love to become part of your early collection. She stands at 17 ¾” and is attributed to Kister & Co. Features include a perfect shoulderhead, (minute crazing to glaze on tip of nose), gorgeous color and charm galore.On an antique body (waist recovered and a satin bust pad nicely sewn in) with lovely china limbs including black boots (lower legs are mismatched in size and shape.)
She wears an attractive dress of sky blue cotton with lace accents and abundant feather-stitching. Underneath, she wears cotton pantaloons with a delicate crocheted lace edge.
A classically lovely example, that remains in good condition overall, save for a sawdust leak to her back and minor rubs to back of hair. A nice size to sew for, this young lady would benefit from a few new wardrobe items; we could see new aprons, dresses and a bonnet or two in her future!
