Here we have a china trinket box in the form of a lavishly swaddled baby. The tot boasts nicely molded and painted features with a raised head and sweetly alert expression. The lidded box is molded and painted in the form of swaddling clothes and is glazed in a pretty shade of pale yellow with an iridescent luster and brilliant blue ribbons with rosettes and gilt details.
The piece remains in beautiful condition and would make a nice decorative item for the doll cabinet or it could fill the role of baby for a doting child doll.
