We are pleased to offer a relatively uncommon find in the form of a French bisque doll attributed to F. Gaultier. She features a gorgeous, creamy bisque shoulderhead with vivid, painted-blue eyes, petal pink cheeks and full lips. Her molded and painted black hair features a glossy finish and is swept into a set of wavy curls that intertwine at the nape of her neck.
She is on a firmly stuffed replacement cloth body with graceful china arms and lower legs that terminate in heeled powder blue boots. She wears a darling dress in a “lancaster blue” print on a field of cream and trimmed in blue silk ribbon and crocheted lace (small area of foxing on right side of skirt).
