This oil painted cloth lady boasts nicely painted features including dark blue eyes, and rose hued lips curved in a smile. A head of finely hand painted titian curls and a fine cotton bonnet frame her face. On a firmly stuffed cotton body with stitched, oil painted, mitt style hands and hinge sewn knees, she wears a lovely costume of fine, marine blue wool with a gathered bodice, tiered skirt, and bustle back. Underneath, she wears fine cotton underthings including pantalettes and two petticoats. Black cotton stockings and blue oilcloth boots complete her presentation. She remains in nice condition, save for expected wear to the finish of her hands and scattered wear to costume including scattered discoloration and a hole to lower, left side of skirt.
