Here we have an opportunity for the sympathetic collector in the form of a classic china head with a very serene expression…somewhere along the way on her long journey in life, she may have taken a tumble from her mama’s arms, because she does present a very tight hairline crack at the back of her shoulderhead that runs from just below her hair to the right, bottom edge of her shoulderplate. Details include pale blue eyes, petal pink cheeks and coral red lips curved into a subtle smile (scattered firing flaws, particularly to left side of face). Her black-painted hairstyle features a center part and a row of neat sausage curls (scatter rubs to back of hair). She is on a firmly stuffed cotton body with lower arms of mauve hued leather with nicely stitched fingers in good condition and hinge sewn knees.
She wears a two-piece antique costume of fine wool in a wonderful plum color with ecru lace accents. Underneath she wears antique underthings, red stockings with a fine stripe and brown leather shoes.
