Although not a French fashion, this German lady doll will feel right at home with your French-speaking ladies. We attribute this lovely German fashion to the Kling firm. She boasts a perfect bisque shoulderhead, with finely molded and painted facial features, expressive blue eyes, and pierced ears (minor rubs to both cheeks.) Her face is framed by a dark blonde mohair wig in a fancy style and topped with a fabulous antique hat.
She is on a firmly stuffed muslin body fitted with bisque arms.
Her two-piece costume, in a striking palette of black and white, is comprised of a fitted jacket with faceted, jet style buttons down the front and a silk skirt (tender) with an elaborate pleated panel at the hem and a tiered and ruffled bustle style back. She wears antique underthings, cream cotton stockings and black leather boots.
