We just love the child-like charm of this Steiner Gigoteur – a magical combination of mechanical marvel and beauty. This doll boasts a perfect bisque solid dome head, an especially wonderful expression complete with an open mouth and two rows of teeth (top row of teeth showing losses and repair), pretty brown paperweight eyes, and pierced ears with coral colored beaded earrings. She wears a very charming natural curly lamb skin wig topped with an antique straw hat (loss to edge of brim.)
Featuring a body in nice condition with composition limbs (paint on arms refreshed and some fingers rough) with a mechanism in working order, however the voice box is non-functional. The doll's arms, legs and head do move as intended.
The doll's presentation includes a sweet, polished cotton pinafore with blue embroidered ribbon trim over a striped cotton gauze blouse. This bébé is a truly great example of Steiner ingenuity combined with a healthy dose of charm.
