The picture of soft, dreamy, elegance in her commercially-made, Ernestine Jumeau-inspired ensemble, this Second Series Portrait Jumeau (incised 3 low on the neck) could not be more beautiful to our eyes. Standing fourteen inches tall (perfectly cabinet sized) this classic little girl features peaches and cream bisque with lovely, even painting, gorgeous brown paperweight eyes, pierced ears and what appears to be her original blonde mohair wig. Her straight-wrist body (legs present a pink tinge) is in good condition, showing normal wear, particularly to fingers. The body does bear the Jumeau stamp.
Mademoiselle’s ensemble is a monochromatic work of art in tan silk, with an overdrape of ecru lace (costume does present significant age-related tenderness, but displays beautifully.) Lovely under things and shell pink leather shoes complete her look...aside from her coordinating chapeau, that is! Head Incised: 3 (low on the neck)
