Early German Epicerie
Early German Epicerie
We adore the warm wood tones that emanate from this marvelous German Grocery, or Epicerie in this case, due that it was produced for the French market. Details include exquisite construction with an assortment of drawers and cubbies, a marvelous shaped counter with built-in drawers and faux grained paper appointments. The back wall features drawers outfitted with signage, denoting in French, what is contained within. The wall paper is a delight as is the shimmering Dresden paper used as a border. The floor paper is original and remains in very good condition overall. Take your time to fill this gorgeous shop with even more essential goods than what is included here -- fancy tins, cheeses and the like, and in the end, you will have created a treasure. Oh, and don’t forget a shopkeeper, or two!
