Here we have a classic, and quite rare to find painted-eye character child from the German firm Swaine & Co. This charming little girl features intaglio painted eyes in a nice shade of ice blue, exceptional molding and painting, full cheeks, a darling double chin, a closed mouth and pierced ears. Her face is framed by an ash blonde mohair wig styled in looped side braids adorned with red velvet ribbons and topped with a classic straw hat.
She wears a fine cotton dress with inset lace panels, red embroidery at the hem and sweet red tatted lace at collar and cuffs. Brown stockings and black, button front oilcloth shoes complete her presentation.
