This darling baby is crying big time! We believe it could be comforted by a caring German child doll with a bottle, a nap and a fresh diaper. Baby features extreme character modeling, tiny inset blue glass eyes, deep blushing, and a wide open mouth with interior painting and an exposed tongue. The tot’s solid dome head boasts nicely shaded ginger hair.
On a stuffed cloth body with molded composition lower arms (scattered finish loss), baby wears a long, white cotton christening gown trimmed in lace. A “cryer” mechanism (now non functioning) is inserted into the back. Underneath, antique underthings plus a white cotton slip are worn. In wonderful condition overall with area of paint wear to left upper lip.
