This petite and lovely German "Belton Bru” presents an opportunity for the sympathetic collector. Little Miss appears to have taken a tumble at some point, as she has a v-shaped hairline that runs from the back base of her neck to just below her wig, there is also a chip (concealed by neck opening) on the front left base of her neck and a hairline that runs through left cheek, across bridge of nose and down right cheek and right side of neck.
Despite this injury, she is a very pretty child who displays nicely. She boasts delicate coloring, blue glass eyes with spiral threading, lush lashes and brows and an open-closed mouth. Her original dark blonde mohair wig is topped with a net lace bonnet trimmed in rose pink silk ribbon.
She is on a composition body with jointed arms and legs and retaining the original finish (presenting scattered surface wear, right upper thigh does present surface cracks). She wears a sweet dress of fine, antique dimity cotton trimmed in delicate lace and with a rose pink silk sash. Underneath a matching set of fine cotton underthings are worn and cream oilcloth shoes with a decorative paper embellishment complete her presentation.
