This handsome German lad from the Bruno Schmidt firm, known as "Tommy Tucker" features a solid dome head with wonderful modeling and painting with a slightly dewy, “moist bisque” complexion upon his bisque head. The head is not perfect however, due to a hairline upon the reverse that was partially over-painted at some point. The paint has worn off near the neck opening of the body.
Further details include a closed mouth, blushed cheeks, a sweet double chin, and expressive brown glass sleep eyes (some wax loss to one eyelid) framed in lush, delicately painted lashes.
He is on a fully-jointed wood and composition toddler body that retains the original paint finish with normal age-related wear throughout. (Chip at back of lower left leg and missing pinky on left hand.)
The little cutie wears a very charming, vintage, two-piece costume in ribbed cotton with red embroidered trim, featuring a belted coat, britches and a removable dickie (costume presents age-related wear and tearing to cotton on the hat.) A matching cap and antique side button cream shoes with knitted red socks complete the charming presentation.
