Here we have an all original Schoenau & Hoffmeister bisque head boy in a dashing military costume. Features include a perfect bisque head with gently blushed cheeks, an open mouth with a row of tiny top teeth and glass eyes. His head is topped with an embellished plush faux fur hat with a chin strap of braided trim. His wonderful costume is sewn on, but from what we can see of his jointed composition body, it is in good condition with minor wear (in lieu of affixed stockings of footwear, his lower legs are painted black.) Original stringing is loose.
His costume is comprised of britches in tan loose weave cotton (significant tear in left back leg) and a fitted black jacket embellished with braided trim, silk ribbon, tiny buttons and fringed epaulettes at the shoulders.
