This delightful German bisque socket-head character, mold #930 by Armand Marseille, and incised with the name “Fany” features classic details including blue glass sleep eyes (minor loss to wax), molded and painted blonde hair, a closed mouth, a dimpled double chin and a wonderful expression. There appears to be a repair to the upper right eye rim, as some over-painting is visible.
On a ball-jointed, composition, chunky child body that retains its original finish in good condition (with minor age related wear), this young man wears a two piece suit in soft, sky blue linen embellished with a rotating red white and blue medallion pin (scattered, age related wear and discoloration to suit.) Cream stockings and brown leather shoes complete his charming presentation.
