This charming little boy represents a special opportunity to acquire an all original example from the beloved German doll maker Kathe Kruse (1883-1968.)
Details include a beautifully modeled and painted face with a gorgeous pink tinted complexion, expressive painted eyes, nicely modeled ears, and a full, blonde mohair wig. On a firmly stuffed cloth body with jointing at the hips and tab attached arms, this young man wears a traditional costume featuring grey velvet lederhosen, a white cotton shirt and a patterned cotton jacket with a green lining. Cream stockings with red and green stripes under brown leather shoes are worn. A miniature pocket knife is attached to his waist. He is in wonderful condition, save for scattered fading and discoloration to costume and scattered discoloration to legs.
