The namesake of J.M. Barrie’s beloved 1911 book, Peter Pan is masterfully rendered here in fine felt by esteemed doll artisan, Maggie Iacono. Peter features a swivel neck and arms and legs that are posable at their wired base, his articulated fingers are also wired. His face features fine molding and painting with impishly rendered blue grey eyes, lips in a subtle mauve hue and gently blushed cheeks. His head is topped by a curly blonde mohair wig in a sweet, cropped style. His two-piece green felt costume is comprised of shorts and a wrap front tunic embellished with applied leaves. He wears a brown belt and wooden dagger at his waist. Pieced brown felt shoes and laced green felt gaiters complete his wonderful presentation. Sole of left shoe signed: M. Iacono. Original box is included.
