We are pleased to offer a Turner Sisters folk art peddler doll. Details include a character face of carved and painted wood with a hinged jaw and exposed tongue. His body features a wired armature, stuffed and covered in cloth, while his articulated hands are finished in a “wrapped” style papier-mâché. He wears a green frock coat and britches, a fawn waistcoat, marled, knitted stockings, ribbon garters and black leather shoes, plus a black tri-corn hat. He carries a hamper style basket with wares including cards of ribbon, laces and costume jewelry findings.
