Here we have a darling and well-loved Doll I by beloved German dollmaker Kathe Kruse (1883-1968.) This dear child, a wide hipped model, features a sweet, painted cloth face with brown eyes, petal pink cheeks and a sweetly pursed mauve lips (scattered, age related wear to head and face.) The delicately painted head of hair is light brown. The firmly stuffed cloth body features stitched fingers and toes and is weighted, creating a wonderful feel when held in the arms.
The body (which presents significant age-related wear overall) features a firmly stuffed torso and upper legs in very sound condition, while feet, hands and shoulders have been lovingly hand mended and restored (ankles have been stitched and a layer of glue has been applied. This little one will come to you ready to dress or be tucked into a comfy crib or doll bed.
