We are pleased to bring you a delightful duo: Barney Google and his horse Spark Plug. These fun characters were made by The A. Schoenhut Co. and based on characters from the popular 1920's comic strip "Barney Google" by artist Billy DeBeck. Spark Plug is made in the classic Schoenhut style with a wooden body and jointed legs with wide feet. His face is nicely painted and he features leather ears and a twisted hemp tail. He wears a yellow felt horse blanket emblazoned Spark Plug (some tattering to front right side.) Barney Google, also in the classic Schoenhut style, features an expressive character face featuring oversized eyes, an exaggerated nose, a wispy moustache and a black top hat. He is on a jointed wooden body with oversized black shoes and a delightful two-piece costume with black and white checked trousers and a black felt coat.
