We are pleased to offer a wonderful antique German papier-mâché candy container in the form of the Easter bunny. His alert, expressive face features amber glass eyes, perky ears and a gold rayon ribbon at his neck (which opens to reveal a candy container.) His body is molded and painted a rich brown with nice shading throughout his coat (normal scattered wear throughout.) He wears a split reed basket on his back (secured by green cellophane straps) that contains a bunch of vividly colored carrots inside. He would be a wonderful centerpiece in an Easter vignette. In fair to good condition showing re-glues to one foot and one paw, plus a re-glue and in-painting to his left ear.
